The rose gold trend gained popularity a couple years back, but the craze is far from over.
Whether it's jewelry or hair color, this pink, shimmery hue continues to grab the attention of consumers everywhere — and the enthusiasm about the color is incredibly popular in the nail world as well.
Apparently, Sally Hansen sells one bottle of its Miracle Gel "Terra Coppa" nail polish every two minutes in the U.S., according to the company. That's 262,800 bottles a year to provide some perspective. That makes it just as popular as Queen Elizabeth's favorite color, Essie's "Ballet Slippers," which leaves shelves at an average of 30 bottles every hour.
Sally Hansen "Terra-Coppa" Polish
The rose gold color is softer than your classic silver or gold due to the addition of warm earth tones. It's perfect for the person who wants a metallic touch without going for the full disco ball effect (though the disco trend is fun for a temporary party look). And, as Glamour showed, the color looks great on a range of skin tones and will stay put for almost a week!
Though this Sally color dropped back in 2015, it doesn't look like the rose gold polish will go out of style any time soon.
I for one am living for this rose gold trend. Why is everything so much more expensive at Ulta??
I always thought that sallys stuff was so cheap and of poor quality, glad that you ladies found something that works well and is affordable, a rare find I guess
All kinds of Sally Hansen products are available at Walmart. I saw this polish and it is very pretty and bright. The trends are sparkle and glam so this polish fits right in
Has anyone noticed how many different types of polish and different polish bottles sally hansen makes? When you think of a brand like OPI or Essie, you can have an image in your mind of what their bottles look like, but with Sally Hansen I feel like they release a new formula, new bottle, or new design every six months!
Ulta is on the more expensive side, but sally beauty prices have also gone up since december of 2022. The rose gold trend isn't my favorite but it is pretty!
This specific line of sally hansen is not my favorite but I do like the insta-dry nail polish they make. I have a hard time waiting for my nails to dry. I always get them at walmart or target because it is less expensive than at ulta.
@sydneyhurdleiectskin-com same the rose gold trend if not my favorite but it looks good on the people that can pull it off!
@leejenkinsiectskin-com sometimes certain nail polishes from sallys line don't stay on for me too long, they usually chip within a day or two
I like this post. I too am a fan of the Terra Copper color. I agree with the post stating that this color works for all shades of skin, it actually compliments different skin tones all so well. I don't think rose gold is a trend that would ever truly stop trending.
@madisonmauldiniectskin-com Same not really a fan of her either. But I do love a good insta-dry nail polish. It's just so convenient.
@deborah Polish with glitter is perfect for holiday time! They also have pretty color selections.
I know rose gold jewelry kind of had its moment and it faded away but this nail polish color is just too cute! I think its flattering for most skin types and who doesn't love a bit of sparkle.
@madisonmauldiniectskin-com I even struggle with the insta-dry. I don't know why but I am completely incapable of painting my own nails. I ALWAYS screw it up some how.
@carliecannestroiectskin-com Girl in 2025, Ulta beauty is the place to be!
I love a good rose gold color. However, in this day in age, there are now different shades of rose gold. As far as nail polish, I am an OPI girlie. Sally products never last long for me and it takes 3-4 coats to get it the vibrant color I was expecting.
@brandyhunteriectskin-com As much as I love rose gold, I HATE rose gold jewlery.
