When I was a child I heavily struggled with emotional regulation as a result of getting led poisoning when I was an infant. It would have been very helpful for my parents if people were taught about emotional regulation in children and how to help stimulate it. I have always implemented deep breathing when I am stressed but I may try Ocean Breathing next time. These techniques are helpful to everyone, not just children or those with mental illnesses, because everyone struggles with emotional regulation sometimes.

@keyonnastarksiectskin-com I agree, breathing exercises have always been the best way to alleviate my anxiety, I tried meditation a couple times but I either fell asleep or got distracted.

@abigailcochraneiectskin-com I agree, when I used to work in a high stress environment my best choice when I got overwhelmed was to take a step back and do a quick breathing exercise. They can be extremely helpful in getting refocused.

I used to do breathing exercises when I was in a lot of stress. It helped calm me down because I can get incredibly worked up and angry. Breathing exercises are great for finding peace in a situation.

@kaytlynmolinaiectskin-com I was never a fan of meditating because I could never just clear my head. I do really enjoy yoga though, like you said I like the full body experience. It keeps me focused on what I'm doing

@laurenjohnsoniectskin-com I can relate to this. There are times where I focused too much on my breathing and it started to stress me out.
