I've always used sponges, and my family has too, so it just something I'm used to. I usually don't keep them very long, maybe about 2-3 weeks before throwing them out. I had never heard of putting them in the dishwasher before but that makes sense, it seems like an easy and effective way to keep them cleaner, so I'll probably start incorporating that into my routine.

@camiryndavisiectskin-com I also use sponges from the Dollar Store and I haven't ever really thought to clean them since I only use them to wipe stuff off dirty plates but definitely will start throwing them in the dishwasher!

I never use to be someone who typically cared about disinfecting things but ever since I started esthetic school, I have become a major clean freak lol. This article makes me want to go home and clean everything.
