Woman, 35, is fighting for her life after getting a Brazilian butt lift from Instagram famous surgeon known as 'Dr. Slimthick' - but her intestine was punctured EIGHT times
- Kentucky woman Dawn Bumphus, 35, flew to Miami for a Brazilian butt lift
- She underwent the surgery by Dr. Harry Intsiful, also known as 'Dr. Slimthick' on Instagram, at the New Life Plastic Surgery clinic on July 23
- During the procedure her intestines were punctured in eight different places
- Two days later she was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgeries and is now being held in the intensive care unit
- Later it was revealed some of Dr. Intsiful's credentials on the New Life clinic website were fake and were taken down
- New Life Plastic surgery says they're monitoring Dawn's progress and conducting their own internal assessment into her surgery-gone-wrong
- Intsiful is an Instagram famous doctor with more than 26,000 followers

A Kentucky woman's botched Brazilian butt lift surgery turned into a fight for her life after her intestines were punctured during the procedure, leaving her in the intensive care unit.
Dawn Bumphus, 35, flew from Louisville to Miami for the cosmetic procedure to get a bigger butt from board certified Dr. Harry Intsiful, also known as 'Dr. Slimthick' on Instagram, at the New Life Plastic Surgery clinic on July 23.
But during the surgery, where fat is removed from the abdomen and back using liposuction, and then grafted to the buttocks by injection, her intestines were punctured in eight different places.
Two days later, the single mother-of-three was rushed to the hospital where she was diagnosed with a life-threatening infection and had to undergo emergency surgeries.
She's remained in the hospital ever since and is now on dialysis, according to the Miami Herald.

Intsiful is known as 'Dr. Slimthick' on Instagram and boasts a massive following of over 26,000 and often shared posts of his clients who he helped achieve a 'Slimthick' body, meaning a tiny waist and curvy bottom
Bumphus, who works as a bus driver, researched the Brazilian butt lift procedure for a year and picked Intsiful for his impressive credentials and raving testimonials. But some of his credentials from esteemed hospitals across the nation turned out to be lies, according to officials.
He was listed as the chief of plastic surgery at Coral Gables Hospital, the fellow in aesthetic and breast reconstruction surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and an assistant professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Officials from the schools say Intsiful didn't hold such titles.
Coral Gables Hospital says the position of 'chief of plastic surgery' doesn't exist but said he has privileges to perform surgeries there. Northwestern Hospital said he never worked at the hospital in any capacity. The Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences said there are no records of Intsiful ever being employed there.
Many of those credentials have been removed from the New Life Plastic Surgery website.
Intsiful formerly worked in New York but became licensed to work as a medical doctor in Florida in January 2018.

He had phony credentials on the New Life Plastic Surgery clinic website claiming he had positions at Coral Gables Hospital, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. Some of the fake credentials have been recently removed
Dawn Bumphus is a single mother-of-three children and a bus driver in Louisville, Kentucky. She's been in the ICU ever since she was rushed to the hospital following her botched surgery on July 23
'This is not a complication, this is a procedure gone wrong,' Dawn's mother Rose Bumphus said. 'We still don't know if she's going to make it or not, but I am praying that she makes it, that's my baby'
Still, Intsiful boasts a massive Instagram following of more than 26,000 followers, and often posts about his alleged surgeries showing how he helps clients get the 'Slimthick' body they want - meaning a tiny waist and curvy bottom.
On doctor review sites, Dr. Intsiful's page boasts raving testimonials for cosmetic surgeries.
Now Bumphus' family is demanding answers as she's heavily sedated and unable to be fully awakened while she remains in a Miami area hospital.
'Were just going day by day right now, and I'm trying to get back to her,' her distraught mother Rose Bumphus said. 'I’m trying to get back to her, because I need to be by my baby. I can’t sleep because I know that she’s by herself, and she needs to know I’m there and I love her.'

I follow a youtuber who had this procedure done and she flew to south america for it and right after the surgery got on a plane to go home and she said she was in so much pain. She was happy with the results but she didn't recommend it at all because of the amount of pain that she was in. I remember Saphonia was talking to us about these procedures and how some of these countries may not have the equivelant of OSHA or that they might not have a level of care where the doctors even tell you what you should do post op which includes not getting on a plane for at least a week. I also feel that we need to stop idolizing a specific body type in society in general. Fifteen years ago it was ideal to be super skinny which resulted in the rise of eating disorders and now girls are getting these butt lifts and fat injections from cheap places and developing complications from it.

It sounds like the lady checked some of the credentials of the doctor which were fraudalent but should ve gone a step further and asked for patient references and maybe called some of the institutions where the doctor worked. I wonder if other things helped her with her decision such as money since bus drivers aren't usually a high paying profession. Regardless, its sad that someone was so dissatisfied with their body that they would fly far from home and away from family to have a pretty intense procedure done like this.

@carliecannestroiectskin-com Yes I follow some reality tv stars that go out of country for plastic surgery and they look BOTCHED. I don't think they see it but I would never fly out of country to save money on plastic surgery! It is a serious surgery. People definitely need to do there research on the doctors they are wanting to go see because their are some sketchy people out there just trying to make money.
