Body - Commenting On My Weight

@alexisdozieriectskin-com Agreed, any comment on your weight can make you self-conscious even if they mean well. It's great that you feel better and healthier now because that's what really matters.

I think the only appropriate time to comment on someones weight is if they bring it up themselves for example " Ive lost 20lbs I'm so excited that I can fit into my favorite dress again" I think then, that's a good time to congratulate them on their success. Commenting on someone elses body is just strange to me. People have so much more to bring to the table then their looks. I've had people in my life who have dropped 50-60 lbs and Ive never ever brought it up. I have no idea how they feel and the last thing I want them to think is that I only care about there looks and not them as a person.

@emmamidgettiectskin-com I think people often forget that body shaming also includes commenting on someone being thinner. Just because you aren't over weight doesn't mean that its okay or acceptable for someone to make unwanted comments about how they don't like your body.
