@sydneyhurdleiectskin-com My parents always see to stay with the habit because neither of them can be a good influence to each other. Which honestly your spouse can be the hardest factor if they do it also and you're trying to stop because you're around them the most.

Defintely didn't know some of the information that was in this article! I've got family members on both sides and in-laws that drink too much and they are not nice at all when that happens.

@sydneyhurdleiectskin-com Yes! My husband has been sober for 3.5 years now and I wish we were able to have more friends who aren't into partying or always having a drink but we're mainly around the navy so that doesn't help!

@melissalandersiectskin-com I was the same... I did the drinking before turning 21 and got it out of my system early. Now I can't find anyone who doesn't drink more than they should but that's the navy lol.

@amandamooreiectskin-com I have also been told to be careful of my alcohol consumption however like you said I believe it is something that can be cured and I also think it is all in control of the hands of the person consuming it.

This can be a very touchy subject of an article to some people. Alcohol was something I believe my father abused throughout my childhood years, it affects your child more then you think it does. Being an abuser of alcohol you aren't always in the right mindset.

I definitely have fun with drinking on weekends out with friends or any social event where it is offered. I think it is so important to recognize and understand the difference between having drinks every once in a while versus needing to have a drink consistently. Knowing when you could be developing a problem is dire.

@rebeccamatuskaiectskin-com Same here, some people can become a different person when they drink.

@alexisdozieriectskin-com I think a lot of people don't realize how serious they're attachment to alcohol may be till they're so far gone.

My family have a very long and bad line of alcoholics on both sides of my family  even as close as my dad to were he ended up not being apart of my childhood so I think this article helps very much to explain the extents to alcohol abuse

@rebeccamatuskaiectskin-com I think it helps show the depths of how bad it can possibly get

This was a good read. I gave up alcohol almost a year ago and I have never felt better. My family has a long history of having problems with it and it just completely turned me off from the entire thing. I never really drank much anyways and even if I had one drink I would get a headache that day and feel really crappy the next. I kinda looked at it and was like what's the point? I know a lot of people use it to kinda help with social situations but its a really freeing feeling when you force your self not to rely on that to have fun. I have more fun now then I ever did when I used to go out and drink. I personally think its sad lots of people have to drink in order to have fun. We used to just have fun so naturally as children and not over think it but for some reason whether it be from society or whatnot we tend to over think things and let our minds talk down to us. Lifting that barrier is so freeing and I encourage everyone to try it at least once in their life. You don't have to quit drinking for forever but just try it and trust me you will discover lots about yourself.

@alizasaundersiectskin-com it truly is a disease and I believe that the real victims of alcoholism are the friends and families. The alcoholic is getting relief even if it may not look pretty sometimes with dependency but the friends and family who have nothing to do with the consumption really suffer watching their love one slowly drift away from who they really are.

@rebeccamatuskaiectskin-com A lot of people actually have problems with alcohol and they don't even realize it. I think we normalize the over consumption of alcohol a bit too much today.
