When ever I workout I always have a bottle of hypochloris acid in my gym bag to spray on my face to help kill any bacteria that may cause a break out. I tend to sweat a lot so I will be rubbing the sweat off my forehead and I don't want any germs from the weights I'm using to then be on my face. This has really helped me.

@laurenjohnsoniectskin-com I too suffer with this problem, sometimes I'll use anti chafing power or a balm to help!

@mikaylaalleniectskin-com it really is a good way to get all of the toxins out I love going and sweating in the sauna afterwards to really amp up the sweat

I noticed when I would go to the gym and I would take my time to go home and wash my face I would have a sort of gray cast and it would kinda gritty.  I definitely stopped doing that because the oil and salt mix was not all that great.

@brandyhunteriectskin-com I never thought about taking a small antibacterial spray with me to keep that production down while I am working out. I might have to try that.

@abigailcochraneiectskin-com I definitely turn red more than the glow, sometimes I actually feel like I am more gritty when I leave the gym.

When I was younger, I never really sweat a lot. When I did, I felt dirty. However, I had a lot of inflammation. When I made my lifestyle change to veganism, I also incorporated my holistic practices of ridding my body of toxins. I started doing sauna treatments and increasing my water intake with alkaline water. I was surprised at how much lighter I felt and how clear my skin got. I never had acne, however, my face was brighter and I got "your face is glowing" comments often.

@antoniawillisiectskin-com I am a germaphobe, so as soon as I got done, I had to get in the shower immediately or my anxiety would get the best of me, but I definitely find that the dirt accumulated during that short span of time is diabolical.

@brandyhunteriectskin-com I wish I knew about that when I would go to the gym. During Covid, I turned my garage into a gym, so I just go straight to the shower.

I thought this was very interesting especially how working out increases blood flow that makes the skin brighter, and sweat protects the skin, I know when I work out I break out from sweating a lot because it causes irriation to my skin, so I am very mindful about taking care of my skin after workouts.

I workout regularly and sometimes get mini breakouts and dehydrated skin. It makes sense after reading this article because I don't wash my face right after. I normally wait until my shower to wash my face which could be a couple hours after I finish my workout. I will definitely start to wash my face soon after or at least take a baby wipe to clean all the sweat off.

@tajahmcewaniectskin-com Me too. I also never see that much of a difference with my skin becoming more bright. It just looks sweaty/dewy and red because I become flush sadly.

@antoniawillisiectskin-com Me too. I wish I was lucky enough to look bright and glowy when I leave the gym.

I'm not a very sweaty person, even when I'm going full bore at the gym. The only thing that really makes me sweat is high intensity cardio. When I do sweat, my skin actually feels really good. I think I've convinced myself that I can feel the toxins leaving my body through my pores. I usually keep face wipes in my gym bag or in my car so I can freshen up before I have a chance to get home and shower.

@brandyhunteriectskin-com I never would've thought of doing this. That is genius! Where do you get your hypochlorous spray from?

@elianaaltamiranoiectskin-com I've heard great things about hot yoga but I've never tried it. I do love the way I feel after leaving a sauna so maybe I'd enjoy hot yoga.

I used to never sweat, and then I found out that not sweating was a bad thing. I never had acne, however, once I started working out and having sauna sessions, I did notice a few pimples popping up. However, with sweating comes detoxification, and I believe it was the toxins causing the bumps and not the actual sweat.

@brandyhunteriectskin-com Do you spray it on before you work out or after?
