There are so many things that can play into your acne, your debit, stress levels, skincare routine, the products you use on your hair, making sure to keep yourself and the areas around you clean, always be aware of the things you do on your day to day. Acne is a struggle of mine and has been for years now. I know making sure I get enough water, watching what I put into my body and making sure I have a good skin care routine as well as keeping all my surroundings clean has helped me out a ton. Hormonal acne is also a very bigger struggle and that's something that has more challenges when it comes to trying to fix it.

@emmamidgettiectskin-com Totally agree! Your diet plays one of the biggest roles when it comes to keeping your skin healthy.

Hopefully, Dr's can soon get more education on hormones and possible replacement or balancing.  It really affects not only women but men as well.  It shouldn't be a luxury to have hormones balanced.

@alizasaundersiectskin-com It is crazy how many ingredients can irritate the skin.  If someone is using the wrong hair product, it can cause breakouts.  It would be nice to help educate our clients on what ingredients to steer clear from.

I have gotten breakouts for as long as I can remember and it can definitely be exhausting. I once tried reducing the amount of dairy in my diet and I saw a small change. I continued to get breakouts just not as many. The one thing that really helped to reduce them was finding a good skincare routine. I do not think changing your diet will fix all your acne problems but I do think diet plays a big role in the condition of your skin.

@emmamidgettiectskin-com I have also tried drinking more water and I think this helps a lot. Educating myself on the ingredients in my skincare/which ones work for me has also made a big difference.

@alexisdozieriectskin-com Totally agree with the importance of educating yourself on acne before trying to fix it yourself. I know I have some scars from messing with my face when I was younger and having no idea what I was doing.

MILK! This article and discussions in class about milk and acne/skin congestion makes a lot of sense!

@melissalandersiectskin-com Yes! My PCOS caused a lot of acne when I was in middle school.

@alizasaundersiectskin-com I agree with hormonal acne being the biggest challenge!
